| 1- the brain stem involve:a- Medulla oblongata, pons & cerebellumb- Medulla oblongata, pons & midbrainc- Medulla oblongata, pons & diencephalonsd- Medulla oblongata, pons & cerebrume- Forbrain, midbrain & hindbrain 2- regarding Excitatory post synaptic potential (EPSP) all statements are true EXEPT:a- it is not action potentialb- it is graded or local responsec- cannot be summatedd- it is due to increase influx of Na+ at postsynaptic membranee- if it large enough to reach firing level it can produce AP 3- regarding DIRECT inhibition:a- called pre-synaptic inhibitionb- GABA is an example of itc- glycine is the neurotransmitterd- the inhibition is produced due to Cl effluxe- inhibition of antagonist 4- which one is NOT correctly paired:a- Glutamate & AMPA receptorb- Lateral inhibition & discriminationc- One way conduction & number of vesiclesd- +ve inside cell & inhibitione- Repetitive impulse & AP 5-The temporal lobe:a- it lies posterior to the longitudinal sulcusb- it lies below the lateral sulcusc- it lies behind the central sulcusd- it contains the vision centere- it is part of the corpus collusum 6-The Excitatory postsynaptic potential (EPSP):a- it is propagated through the nerve fiberb- a single (EPSP) in one neuron can produce an APc- is produced by K effluxd- it is a local response on the cell membranee- cannot be summated 7-Acetylcholine:a- works through a & b receptor b- is made of choline & acetatec- mediate pain in spinal cordd- its precursor is phenylalaninee- is degraded by anticholine esterase 8-which of the following is not a part of brain stem?a- midbrainb- thalamusc- ponsd- medulla 9-which of the following determines the nature of synaptic transmission?a- neurotransmitterb- G-proteinc- Receptord- Medulla 10-The fast EPSP that is produced in a synapse:a- is usually in the form of depolarization of pre-synaptic neuronb- is due to the change in the membrane potential towards the equilibrium potential for chloridec- has fast conductiond- increases excitability of the nerve cell by quickly reaching the firing level 11-The peripheral nervous system is made up of:a. Afferent & efferent.b. Renshaw cell & glnia.c. Cranial & spinal nerve. _d. Brain & spinal cord.e. Interneuron. 12- Inhibitory of postsynaptic neuron Depend on:a. The number of neurotransmitter presence in presynaptic neuron.b. Ca++ channel open in postsynaptic membrane.c. Presynaptic neuron release neurotransmitters that open thechloride ion cannel at postsynaptic membrane. _d. Glutamate.e. An inhibitory neuron synapse directly with the terminals of an inhibitory neuron. 13-synaptic delay depend on:a- number of receptorb- increase number of receptorc- less convergence of neuronsd- number of synapsese- maximum time for transmission across presynaptic neuron | |

| till this moment.. I understood the 4th Q..
Iinhibition= cl influx-which has negative charge or: k outflux- increase the negative charge inside the cells in comparison with out of this cell
so.. inside +ve is not assosciated with inhibition.. | |
